born, raised & based in London, UK

Natalie Mitchell is an artist, curator, and facilitator whose work explores the politics of visibility and representation. Using moving image, photography, oral history, and archives, they create layered conversations between themselves, participants, and the viewer. Their practice is deeply rooted in workshop facilitation and co-making, developing spaces for storytelling and collective engagement.

A former participant of the CONDITIONS studio programme (2022–24), Natalie has recently been awarded funding from Arts Council England’s Developing Your Creative Practice grant and the Freelands Foundation Artists’ Bursaries 2024–25. Their curatorial and creative programming work has taken place at Studio Voltaire, Brighton Photo Fringe, Turf Projects, 198 Contemporary Arts & Learning, and F.A.T. Studios
